Report on vaccinations was misleading

After seeing a recent report on KCRG in regard to the new vaccination law, I am concerned.
KCRG reported on July 25 that incoming 7th and 12th graders are required to have certain vaccines before entering school. It was stated that children without up-to-date vaccines will not be allowed to enter school.
The vital piece of information that was left out was that a religious waiver still exists in Iowa and can be utilized by anyone with a religious objection to vaccines.
This is not an argument about whether vaccines are safe or necessary. It is regard to full disclosure of facts and to leave this information out is not fair or balanced. I have been contacted by several families who are afraid their exemptions will not be honored.
Schools also have not communicated this. I have contacted each school district when information is posted on social media. To date, only one school has updated its social media pages.
If the press is going to invest time talking about the laws that are in place, please explain all the laws that are in place in regard to an issue.
