Boyd, Woodrow William 'Woody'
Woodrow William “Woody” Boyd, 90, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell, following a brief illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn, with the Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Jackson County Township Cemetery, Montezuma, with military honors. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be contributed to the First Presbyterian Church Handicap Accessibility Fund.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Mullen (Brad) of Guernsey, Bev Boyd of Urbandale and Shirley Messamer (Ron) of Adel; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ina Mae; two brothers, Warren and John; and a sister. Evelyn Chrissinger.
