Kloubec, Antoinette M.
Antoinette M. Kloubec, 91, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a long illness. Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with Father Dennis Cahill officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Debra McGrath and James V. Kloubec, both of Marion, and Lori Kloubec of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Mike McGrath, Tori (Eric) Hanna, Callie Kloubec and Madison Kloubec-Moore; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Wesley Hanna; two brothers, Bob and Matt Spellerberg; a sister, Dorothy Schulte; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Kloubec; and three brothers, William, Richard and Clarence Spellerberg.
Antoinette Marie Kloubec was born May 24, 1922, in Fairfax, Iowa, the daughter of Mathew and Lydia (Kulhavy) Spellerberg. She married Vernon Kloubec on Aug. 29, 1944, at Holy Trinity Church in Walford. She worked for Kmart and Rockwell Collins until she retired.
Antoinette was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, cooking, fishing and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
Antoinette was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
