Cedar Rapids police have released new photos of the suspect and the getaway car involved in last week's armed robbery of a Cedar Rapids hotel.
Police were called to the Economy Inn, 3245 Southgate Place SW, at about 8:20 a.m. Jan. 21 for a reported robbery.
The male suspect displayed a handgun when he robbed the hotel clerk, police said. No one was injured.
Police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said the robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and a laptop computer. He drove off to the east in a blue four-door car with no license plates. The car may have a broken taillight and rear-end damage, Hamblin said.
The robber is described as black, about 25 years old and 6 feet tall. He wore a black hooded jacket.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Cedar Rapids police at 286-5400.
