Don't shoot the messenger. Or give him a bad Internet connection.
According to Akamai Technologies, Ann Arbor, Mich., Urbana, Ill., University Park, Pa., and East Lansing, Mich., are four of the 11 U.S. cities with the fastest Internet connections in the U.S.

I registered with Akamai to learn more. Only 21 of the top 100 cities in the world with the fastest connections are in the U.S., but the top three are Berkeley, Calif., Chapel Hill, N.C., and Stanford, Calif.
Ann Arbor is 10th, Urbana (Champaign's next-door neighbor) 22nd, University Park (State College) 28th, East Lansing 29th, Bloomington, Ind., 35th, and Madison, Wis., 82nd.
Yes, everyone of the 21 U.S. cities on the list are college towns. Sorry kids, no Iowa City in the top 100.
I'm in Cedar Rapids. Some nights, it feels like one of the slowest 100 cities in the world. Of course, I live on a quiet dead-end street, and I like it that way.
