Young people have a voice in politics

The problem with our American democratic republic is that it isn't a true democratic republic, which founded this nation. This system says all men are created equal, but left out women, African-Americans, Native Americans and young men and women (under 18).
Over time each group earned the vote and also the respect and honor to run for office, except for young men and women. Why are young men and women left out of the process? Because we have something that dictionary-definition conservatives don't want to hear - the future.
I hope by making my stance public it will change the minds of adults and lawmakers of who really should be making contributions in this difficult time for America. I also want to change the minds of young men and women. I'm going to say this time and time again - you do have a voice that should be respected and honored the same as any other human being.
