Kieffer, Wayne F.
Wayne F. Kieffer, 62, of Bellevue, died Monday, March 29, 2010, as a result of a farming accident. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellevue. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
His survivors include his two children, Matthew (Stephanie) Kieffer of Eldridge and Alexandra Kieffer of New Haven, Conn.; nine siblings, Jerry (Kris) Kieffer and Jean (Steve) Owens, both of Dubuque, Mary Cain of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla., Pat Kieffer, Deb Genz and Connie Kieffer, all of Iowa City, Rita Kieffer of Charlottesville, Va., Barb (Jack) Morio of Marion and Betty (David) Martyn of Gardiner, Mont.; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne was born May 26, 1947, in Bellevue, son of Donald and Rosina (Kloft) Kieffer. He married Marian Meier in 1981 and had two children, Matthew and Alexandra. He worked for WHKS & Co. in East Dubuque, Ill., as an engineering technician and he also farmed south of Bellevue.
Wayne was a quiet, kind and intelligent man. He enjoyed reading and working on the farm. He was always ready to stop and help others. His infectious smile and gentle sense of humor will long be remembered.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
