SHAWN JOSEPH HADDY
Sunrise, Ariz.
As a result of a sudden illness, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Shawn Joseph Haddy, 53, of Surprise, Ariz. Shawn passed away on May
9, 2021.
Shawn, born to Roger Haddy and Kathy Crowley, took his first breath on Aug. 19, 1967. Shawn was a force to be reckoned with from the
get-go, graduating from Port Washington High School in 1986.
While Shawn never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. His nieces and nephews meant more to him than words can describe.
Shawn began his career in printed circuit board manufacturing in Milwaukee, Wis. Throughout his career, he held several mid to upper-level management positions over 30 years for various companies. He devoted most of his time to golf, Texas Hold'em, playing bags, shooting pool, and walking his dog Shadow who he loved. Shawn was an avid Green Bay Packer and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Shawn recently relocated to Surprise, Ariz., to spend more time with his family. Shawn always mentioned how his parents were there to support and guide him and he loved and appreciated them more than words could express. Shawn is survived by his parents, Roger Haddy of Cedar Rapids, Pat and Kathy Crowley of Surprise, Ariz.; a sister, Laurie Hepker (Darrell) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Roger Haddy (Lana) of Surprise, Ariz.; a brother, Adam (Angela) of Marion, Iowa; a brother, Rick Crowley (Corinn) Lincoln, Calif.; a sister, Christina Crowley of Winthrop, Iowa; a brother, Randy Crowley of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; and 10 nephews and two Nieces. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. George Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 18. Following the continued proclamations issued by the Governor, physical distancing must be practiced, which may require a limited number of people allowed into a visitation at one time and limited seating available at services. The use of facial coverings is strongly encouraged. A private service will be held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids later that afternoon for family. Please join Shawn's family in sharing memories, pictures or videos on his tribute wall at www.caminodelsol.com.
