After the coolest July in Iowa history, summer will return with a vengeance this weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that will be in affect from noon until 7 p.m.
The heat index is expected to be between 100 and 105 degrees this afternoon and during the day on Sunday.
Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to be humid, hot and hazy, with highs both days in the lower 90s.
