Martino scores TD as North blanks South in Shrine Bowl
AMES - Former Cedar Rapids Kennedy standout Max Martino scored the first touchdown, sending the North on its way to a 24-0 victory over the favored South team in the Shrine Bowl last night at Jack Trice Stadium.
The South had five players who will play Division I football, but it was blanked by the North.
Solon's James Morris was named the South's offensive MVP.
