Gerry Kuhl is a proven leader

Mayor Gerry Kuhl has done an exceptional job of leading North Liberty since he became mayor.
We have not had any major crisis, only steady progress on a number of projects. And, there is continuous planning for city projects that will happen next summer and the following year.
His opponent, Amy Nielsen, on the other hand has not told us what she will do with these projects, if elected. We have very limited information about infrastructure improvements, including police and fire, tax rates, credit ratings, and other essential city services. I want to remind the voters that she has never served on a city board or commission. She is unproven and a risky choice for the top job. The mayor's office is not a place for on-the-job training.
Dog parks, bowling alleys and movie theaters are 'nice to have”, expensive to build and maintain, but are better handled by private investors, not government.
My sense is that things are going well and Nielsen has not made a case for change in the mayor's office.
Join me as I vote for Kuhl, an experienced, progressive and proven leader.
