Police said a man intentionally rammed his car into his ex-wife's mobile home and struck a gas meter early Thursday morning.
Randal J. Campbell, 35, of 124 34th St. Dr. SE, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and drug possession after the incident at the Five Seasons Mobile Home Court on Blairs Ferry Road NE.
Police were called to the scene around 1:45 a.m. Thursday for a report of a reckless driver. When they pulled into the area, officers saw a car with extensive damage to the front end, windshield and other windows run a stop sign.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said investigators were able to determine Campbell ran his car into the mobile home at 27 Summer Circle NE two times, causing damage to the gas meter. An independent witness identified Campbell as the driver, she said.
Hamblin said Campbell and the woman who lives in the mobile home had either just gotten divorced, or were in the middle of it.
Firefighters responded due to the threat of a natural gas leak, but no leak was found. They shut off the gas and MidAmerican Energy was called to make repairs.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said.
