Simons, Lois Jane
Lois Jane Simons, 85, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, died at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010. Services will be held at a later date in Norwalk, Ohio. Inurnment: St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio. Iowa Cremation is entrusted with arrangements.
Lois is survived by her children, Debra Simons of Los Angeles, Chris (Kelly) Simons of Cedar Rapids, Jeff Simons of Carlisle, Pa., Tim (Debra) Simons of Columbus, Ohio, and Susan (Ken) Silcox of Norwalk, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and brother, John Minardi of Kettering, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert.
Lois was born April 20, 1925, in Milan, Ohio, to Joseph and Florence Minardi. She married Robert Simons on Nov. 22, 1958, in Norwalk. He died in 1996. She worked at J.C. Penney and later she and Bob owned and operated Simons TV Sales and Service in Norwalk, Ohio.
Lois loved computer games and bingo. Lois was an avid reader and belonged to several book clubs.
