Hyde, Mavis Rose (Frieden)
Mavis Rose (Frieden) Hyde, 77, of Edgewood, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in the emergency room at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, after a long, courageous and hard fought battle with multiple health problems, including cancer.
Mavis is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Bud Hyde of Edgewood; her son, Mark (Linda) Hyde of Dubuque; two stepgranddaughters, Allison (fiance Brennen Smith) Eaton of Fon du Lac, Wis., and Dana Eaton of Dubuque; one sister, LeAnna Olson of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Roger (Sharnel) Frieden of Elgin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood, and one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Edgewood, with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating. Interment: Edgewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
