Dyer, George E.
CEDAR RAPIDS - George E. Dyer of Agua Dulce, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sept. 28, 2010. He will be laid to rest Oct. 4 at Eternal Valley in Newhall, Calif.
George was born Sept. 30, 1939. He graduated in 1957 from McKinley High School, where he was an all-state wrestler. He was a captain of the City of Los Angeles Fire Department, retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; four sons, Steve, Mark, Paul and Randy, all from the Agua Dulce area; a brother, Jim (Sue) of Marion, Iowa; a sister, Letty Anne Foote of Chico, Calif.; and a stepsister, Carol Ann Craig of Oklahoma.
