Harold was born the son of Thurman and Eva (Boyd) Yardley on April 17, 1922, in Milan, Mo. On Jan. 6, 1940, he married Bernice A. Morley, in Milan. She preceded him in death in 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Raymond Yardley, Leon Yardley and Jim Cannon.
Harold grew up in Sullivan County where he attended both country and town schools. They lived many places trying to find work and a better life, until settling in Blairstown in 1957. He worked as a parts man for Leo Kelly Co. International Harvester for 30 years. His interests were spending time with his wife, Bernice; his work; St. Louis Cardinals; and Dodge cars.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Elmwood Cemetery in Harold's honor.
