RoughRiders trade Rowe to Fargo for Tiffels

CEDAR RAPIDS - The
United States Hockey League announced Wednesday the
Cedar Rapids RoughRiders have traded veteran forward
Jack Rowe to the Fargo Force for forward
Rowe, 19, has seven goals and four assists in 21 games this season. This was the third year as a Rider for the University of North Dakota commit, who is from Cary, Ill.
This will be the third team this season for Tiffels, 18, a Western Michigan commit who is from Cologne, Germany. He played 13 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks before being traded to Fargo, where he played 12 games.
He has four goals and six assists combined.
"Jack was a good player and teammate, we thank him for his time as a RoughRider," said RoughRiders Coach/General Manager Mark Carlson. "We are looking forward to Freddy Tiffels' arrival. He is a big, heavy player that can really skate, works, has good vision and can make plays. He will help the team in many areas."
The RoughRiders are on holiday break, returning to action Friday, Dec. 27, at Des Moines. They play the following night at home against Waterloo.
