Lanning, Laurie Rose
Laurie Rose Lanning, 50, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Sarasota Hospice House. Private family services will take place.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Andersen; two daughters, Shauna Becker and Cheyenne Lanning of Sarasota; two sisters, Sheryl Benning of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Julie Andersen of Cedar Rapids; and a grandson, Jackson Bennett of Sarasota.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Andersen; and brother, Kevin Andersen.
Laurie was born in Cedar Rapids on April 30,1963. She graduated in 1981 from Washington High School. Laurie worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She moved to Florida in the late 1980s and very much enjoyed the weather and beautiful beaches.
