Lombardo signs contract with Massachusetts town
IOWA CITY - Michael Lombardo has officially become the first town manager of Hamilton, Mass.
The former Iowa City manager signed a three-year contract Monday night, according to media reports you can read here and here. Lombardo's salary will be $125,000 a year, plus benefits and $15,000 to relocate his family from Iowa City. He is to start in mid-April.
The Iowa City Council fired Lombardo a year ago for undisclosed reasons. The council recently
started its search for a new city manager and hopes to hire someone by the fall.
