Running-Marquardt will work for better future
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 21, 2009 11:19 pm
Kirsten Running-Marquardt is a hometown girl. She went to Kirkwood Community College before graduating from the University of Iowa. Unlike many young people today, Kirsten decided to stay in Iowa because she knew it would be a great place for her and husband, Coy, to raise their son Jack.
She understands that Cedar Rapids and Iowa are facing many problems right now, but she knows that we can solve these problems and become stronger and more prosperous in the future.
We need more leaders like Kirsten who combine common sense, intelligence and determination to ensure a better future for our community and all of Iowa. We need Kirsten in the Iowa House of Representatives. Vote for her in the special election on Tuesday.
