Road crew did fine job in Western area

Linn County Road Crew District 2 deserves a “well done” from all the people who live in the Western area. Brock Holub and his workers spent all summer working this area. They removed fence, scrub brush and volunteer trees that acted as a snow fence, causing drifting snow. This should relieve the snow drifting problem.
Workers also graded all ditches to allow water to flow away better and eliminate frost boils. Most of the driveways had to have new culverts installed and be reconstructed. Now the ditches, instead of sharp inclines, are gradual slopes that are safer.
I commend these workers as they always gave us a day's work under pretty nasty summer heat. The village of Western has a new landscaped look and we thank you for it. A job well done.
