Darling, Edwin L.
Edwin L. Darling, 67, of 2460 17th Ave., Marion, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, in his home. There will be no services.
Survivors include his sons, Lawrence (Cindy) Darling of Tipton and Daniel Darling of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Rebecca Darling; and brother, Daniel Darling of Denver, Colo.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Rose.
Edwin was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, the son of William and Catherine (Flynn) Darling. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a master's degree in social work and was a social worker for the Department of Human Services. On Aug. 17, 1963, he was united in marriage to Rose Hanrahan. She died in 2008.
