Red-light cameras are really no big deal

Why all the fuss about the red-light traffic cameras? To those who are up in arms because they think it's just a way for the city to generate revenue, I have a simple solution: Obey the rules of the road, stop for red lights and observe speed limits. This whole matter thus becomes irrelevant to you, and will not cost you a dime.
As for the $750,000 these cameras are projected to generate, that will come almost entirely from two classes of drivers: scofflaws who think the rules of the road do not apply to them, and the distracted ones who are too busy texting, chatting, eating, reading or primping to pay attention. Those people will probably continue to whine about it, but if the city has decided to collect needed revenue from them, instead of having to find ways to dig it out of my pocket, I'm all for it.
