Letter: Hold Steve King accountable for his words

Our representative from the 4th District is the poster 'child” of the First Amendment regarding freedom of speech. In this country you can say anything you want, and thank God for that.
But in a couple of sentences, Rep. Steve King managed to cast aspersions on Pope Francis, St. Augustine, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and a host of other non-white or Latino, Asian, African, and Native American Christians, to mention just a few of his Christian brothers and sisters who he dismissed from the table with his ill-advised, but self-revelatory, comments about 'non-white subgroups.”
Yes, you can say whatever you want, but you can be held accountable for what you say. Isn't this an election year, 4th District?
