Lyn Veloso Pretz, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital. Teahen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Lyn is survived by her three children, Frederick (Cristine) Veloso, Trisha (Kent) Thurston and Melody Eweld; three grandchildren, Angelica, Jeb and Harper; brother, Castrense Veloso III; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.
Lyn was born on July 19, 1949, in the Philippines. She enjoyed life, was very social, and was the life of the party. Lyn loved shopping, getting together with friends and was very active in the Filipino American Association of Cedar Rapids (FAACR). She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
