Bockenstedt, Leo Henry
Leo Henry Bockenstedt, 81, of Edgewood, passed away from an extended illness on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at his home. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood. Mass of Resurrection: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Edgewood, with the Rev. Stephen Lundgren as celebrant. Interment with military rites: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Edgewood.
Survivors include his five sons, Glen (Sherrie) Bockenstedt of Manchester, Jan (Michelle) Bockenstedt of Garber, Neil Bockenstedt of Nebraska, Curt (Nancy) Bockenstedt of Edgewood and Daron (Cindy) Bockenstedt of Edgewood; two daughters, Karen (Mike) Zittergruen of Arizona and Faye (Mark) Mraz of Georgia; his second wife, Lois Bockenstedt of Edgewood; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and six sisters.
Leo was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita; one granddaughter, Andrea Bockenstedt; his parents, Leonard and Catherine Bockenstedt; and an infant sister, Teresa.
