Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance offering free sessions on health care legislation

The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is offering businesses an opportunity to learn more about the Affordable Care Act.

The Economic Alliance is hosting the free education sessions for businesses which will cover the provisions and requirements of the act that go into effect for 2014. The series, called Health Care Reform & You, will discuss topics including subsidy versus safe harbor, fees and case study.

The discussion will be followed by a question and answer. Each session is limited to 15 attendees and registration is required.

Sessions for businesses with less than 50 employees will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28, noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, 8 to 9:30 a.m. Sept. 11 and noon to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19. A session for businesses with more than 50 employees will be held on Aug. 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
