If a comic strip annoys you, don’t read it

I love Mallard Fillmore (comic). It is a fitting counter foil for Doonesbury. Those who do not like Mallard likely find nothing outlandish with Doonesbury and voted for President Barack Obama. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Ouch!
If a comic strip so annoyed me, I would not read it - i.e., Get Fuzzy and Mutts. The goal of editors is to get people to read their section. The anti-Mallard letter (“Do us a favor and get rid of Mallard Fillmore comic,” Feb. 16, by Kathleen R. Moore) indicated how it even stimulated the writer to do
extra calculations.
