Diocese schools get new superintendent

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport announced Wednesday that Leland “Lee” Morrison will become superintendent of its schools starting July 1.
Morrison, 56, currently is superintendent of the Burlington school district. He has 35 years experience in education, 27 of them in administration, according to a news release.
The diocese oversees 18 schools, including Iowa City Regina.
Morrison will succeed Mary Wieser, who will continue to be in charge of faith formation for the diocese, according to the news release.
