Brenneman, Orlin 'Duane' 'OB'
Orlin "Duane" "OB" Brenneman, 80, of Iowa City, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, suddenly at his home. Per his request, cremation services will take place through Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service with no other services planned.
Orlin Duane Brenneman was born June 29, 1929, in Iowa City, the son of Harvey and Clarissa (Kesselring) Brenneman. Following graduation from Iowa City City High School with the Class of 1948, he attended the University of Iowa. For many years he was employed with Economy Advertising in Iowa City. Many also will remember him at Mercy Hospital, from where he retired. In his younger years, he was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. "OB" always had an interest in the second world war, though he never served he was most knowledgeable about it. He was also one that liked a good joke, and was eager to share one!
His family includes a sister, Betty Raher of Cedar Rapids; a niece, Becky Raher-Peery of Bothell, Wash.; and several cousins.
