Barker, Emery E.
Emery E. Barker, 89, of Brooklyn, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Brooklyn Community Estate. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, with Mr. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be contributed to Hospice Compassus or Good News Productions.
Emery is survived by his wife, Doris; a daughter, Marsha Hash and husband Gary of Brooklyn; a grandson, Jeremy Hendrickson; stepgrandchildren, Chris Hash and Sara Ouren (Matt); several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marcella Myers Barker; a brother, Willard Barker; two sisters, Helen Schumacher and Oma Pearl Allen; brothers-in-law, Herb Schumacher and Arlie Allen; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Barker and Mary Barker; and a niece, Janice Kay Schumacher Weiss.
