That horrible day

By Ginni Brown: I will never forget that horrible day.

I was home alone, getting ready for work at The Gazette. (No longer there). I had Good Morning America on when I heard about the first plane hit the North Tower. I felt confused, as though it was an accident, until I heard Diane Sawyer say that a second plane hit the South Tower.

The look on her face told me something was very wrong. I will never forget that look on her face, ever.

I had never in my life experienced anything like this and was very shaken. When I got to work, there was a lot of confusion and a lot of uncertanty. Several fellow employees gathered around a TV and watched the first tower fall. We all hugged and cried.

A day that changed many lives. I am crying just writing this 10 years later.
