Ron was born on May 8, 1965, in Monticello, the son of Richard and Ruth (Sabers) Jurgens. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School, class of 1983. Ron owned and operated Auto Glass Solutions in Cedar Rapids, for nearly twenty years. Scronnie was known as the founder of the Romper Room Ride, which was started in 1990. He enjoyed the freedom of the road and was happy being on his Harley. Scronnie would start out his Friday's with a "U boozn?" text, to join up at Mr. B's to be with Carlie and his friends. He loved being a dad, to his children Carlie "Chickr" and Abe "Hammer" and was proud of their achievements. Scronnie and Hammer worked hard but played harder riding motorcycles and snowmobiles.
Scronnie is survived by his children, Carlie and Abe; his mother, Ruth Jurgens of Worthington; his siblings, Rod Jurgens (Miranda Bries) of Hopkinton, Rhonda (Bob) Meyer of Hopkinton, Rich (Michelle) Jurgens of Worthington and Robin (Ron) Lutovsky of Crawfordsville; his nieces and nephews, Eric Jurgens, Abby Smith, Will Jurgens, Anna Jurgens, Ellie Garringer, Grace Lutovsky, Carolyn Lutovsky and Henry Lutovsky; and his many great friends, especially longtime friend Brian "Chappy" Chapman.
