Waterloo home damaged in chimney fire

Firefighters rushed to a chimney fire in the 600 block of Adams Street early this morning.

The call came in shortly after 1:30 a.m.

Our crew on scene tells us paramedics were treating someone in an ambulance. There's no word on the condition of anyone involved in the fire.

The home next door was evacuated, and there is visible damage to the siding there as well.

Waterloo fire officials continue to investigate what happened.
