White, Max M. Jr.
Max M. White Jr., 85, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Ainsworth, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at the United Presbyterian Home following a lengthy illness.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg and the Rev. Bruce White officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Interment will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth with military honors conducted by Ainsworth American Legion Post 351 and Washington American Legion Post 29.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Washington County or Wounded Warrior Project (). Online condolences may be sent for Max's family through the Web at .
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Washington, Iowa; and three children, Bruce (Pam) of Tucson, Ariz., Barbara (Fari) Barhamand of Naperville, Ill., and Brenda (Kent) Carter of Bethesda, Md. He has 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Owen (Norma) of Ainsworth; and many nieces and nephews. Max was preceded in death by his parents.
