Shannon represents small-government ideals

I would like to express my support for the candidacy of Randi Shannon for state senator in House District 34. I do not live in this district, although I have frequent business and educational interactions with colleagues, students and friends in Cedar Rapids and Marion.
My expression of support for Shannon is simple and clear-cut. Shannon represents the ideals of small, no-nonsense government as opposed to a bloated “nanny” state. Shannon stands for personal responsibility, independence and existential optimism versus intervening government, dependence and prepackaged programs.
