REVOLVING LOANS: The Czech Village/New Bohemia Main Street District's new $62,500 revolving loan fund will help businesses open or expand in the growing district. Business owners will be able to apply for loans of $5,000 to $25,000, with the money going back into the fund to help fuel even more growth.

BACK ON THE TRAIL: The Boyson Trail along Indian Creek is open again after summer storms caused extensive damage along the Marion trail. Marion Parks and Recreation staff have spent the past few weeks repairing the three-mile trail. Some work will continue through September.

SAVING SOAP: The Hotel at Kirkwood Center is making sure leftover soap from guests is being put to good use. The hotel has partnered with Clean the World, which collects the partially used toiletries and distributes them to families in 96 countries, helping to reduce preventable hygiene-related deaths.
