SUZANNE CHURCHILL
Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Suzanne Jane Churchill's storybook life ended Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the age of 78.
Suzanne was born in 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later moved to Indianapolis, Ind., with her parents, Gerald and Maud Geer. It was during this time that Suzanne developed her love for arts, animals and the better things in life. Upon graduation, Suzanne joined TWA as a flight attendant, where she met her partner for life, Jim, a TWA pilot. Shortly thereafter Suzanne's role transformed forever as she became a mother to three active sons, Greg, Gary and Ken. Suzanne more than held her own in an all-male-household. At the same time she supported her husband, Jim as he
progressed in his career to become an integral partner outside the home.
As the family grew and began to spread its wings, Suzanne's role changed again to grandmother and mother-in-law. She watched with great pride and enjoyed each of her three grandchildren, Graham, Alex and Emma; and daughter-in-law, Terri, grow into becoming "a Churchill," that she would be proud of. Throughout it all, Suzanne's love of animals and art continued until her unfortunate passing.
Each of us in the family will miss her beyond belief, but we all can look back and feel blessed that she touched our lives in the manner in which she did.
God, you got a good one in Suzanne. We love you and miss you.
Private services will be held. The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements;
