In this burger joint fight, someone wasn't going to get it their way.
Ashley McCann, 21, of Cedar Rapids, told police Monday afternoon she and two friends were at Burger King, 395 33rd Ave. SW, when an employee punched her in the face in the bathroom.
Police said the employee, Dorothy Fults, 34, of Cedar Rapids, was confronted by one of the friends, Toni Phillips, 38, of Cedar Rapids, when she came out of the bathroom. According to the police report, Phillips punched Fults in the head.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said the fight between the two women spilled into the parking lot, where Fults hit McCann with a landscaping rock.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said McCann and Fults had “lived together in the past year in a non-platonic relationship.”
“There were accusations of infidelity,” Hamblin said.
Police said the injuries to McCann and Fults were minor, and neither woman was taken to a hospital.
Police arrested Fults for domestic abuse assault with a weapon and Phillips for assault with injury. Both were taken to the Linn County Jail.
