Bohannon’s 30 points pushes Linn-Mar over Waterloo West: Boys Prep Basketball Districts Roundup

Jordan Bohannon drilled six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 30 points to lead No. 6 Linn-Mar to a 66-45 victory over Waterloo West last night in a Class 4A substate semifinal in Marion.
Bohannon also pulled down a team-leading five rebounds for the Lions (18-4), who will play Kennedy in a substate final Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Center.
Nic Uhlir added 17 points and two steals for Linn-Mar.
The Lions won the turnover battle, as they forced 18 Wahawk turnovers compared to just four for Linn-Mar.
Lincoln Conrey scored 19 points to pace Waterloo West, which closed its season at 8-15.
IOWA CITY WEST 84, C.R. PRAIRIE 56
- Wali Parks scored 25 points, grabbed four rebounds, and had six steals to lead top-ranked Iowa City West to a Class 4A substate semifinal win over Cedar Rapids Prairie last night at home. David Dileo scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and Tanner Lohaus finished the night with 11 points for the Trojans.
Max Drahos led the Hawks with eleven points.
Iowa City West faces Cedar Rapids Washington in the Class 4A Substate 3 finals at 8 p.m. Tuesday while Prairie finishes 9-14.
C.R. WASHINGTON 62, BURLINGTON 39
- Cedar Rapids Washington spread the ball around to win over Burlington at home in a Class 4A Substate 6 semifinal. Laveechie Williams led the Warriors with 10 points and eight rebounds, Keion Wills scored eight points, Maurice Arrington and Keegan Moore scored seven points each, and Steven Kramer and Julian Good-Jones had six points apiece.
Kace Massner led Burlington with 10 points.
Cedar Rapids Washington faces Iowa City West in the Class 4A Substate 6 finals while Burlington finishes with a 1-22 record.
CLINTON 60, IOWA CITY HIGH 55
- The Little Hawks were up six points, 43-37, going into the final quarter, but the River Kings rallied for the win last night in Iowa City.
Derrick Howard hit 9 of 10 free throws in the final quarter for Clinton (14-9).
Junior Henry Mulligan had 15 points and sophomore Chuck Johnson added 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Little Hawks (7-16).
