Interview with Angels 2B Howie Kendrick (video)

Jan. 28, 2010 7:18 pm
Good to see Los Angeles Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick back in town last night. He was one of four inducted into the Cedar Rapids Baseball Club's hall of fame, joining Angels General Manager Tony Reagins, former major league infielder Dennis Menke and longtime board of directors member Bob Klinger.
The keynote speaker for the 14th-annual event was former Angels/Orioles second baseman Bobby Grich.
Kendrick hit .367 in 75 games for the Kernels in 2004. He didn't have enough at-bats for qualify for the Midwest League batting title but was awarded it any way because it was figured out he'd have had the best average even if you added the number of at-bats he was shy without any hits.
Here's an interview with Kendrick, who made the trip from his offseason home in Arizona with wife, Jody.
