Diversity hiring also brings discrimination
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jun. 28, 2010 12:33 am
A June 18 Gazette article reported that at a recent Diversity Focus luncheon, former U.S Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez (2005-2009) called for immigration reform. He also said, “Companies can do everything possible to foster diversity in
hiring ... .”
Now that reads like discrimination has been given a green light and should come as no surprise to baby boomers seeking employment. When employers foster diversity (young foreign-born) in hiring, they must discourage hiring candidates who lack diversity. Gutierrez went on to say “ ... but if people don't feel welcome when they visit a community, they won't stay.”
So where do unwelcome Americans stay?
