Cindy Brennaman, 68, of Anamosa, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
A service of remembrance will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. The Rev. Melody Williams will officiate. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 10. Due to

Cynthia Diane Brennaman was born April 21, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Leona (Ellison) Brennaman. She attended schools in Anamosa and graduated from Anamosa High School in the class of 1970. She later earned her Bachelors degree from Iowa State University. She was employed as a senior correctional officer at the Anamosa State Penitentiary, retiring in 2007.
She played dominos, mahjongg and bridge with great enthusiasm, and was a voracious reader. She also liked to work jigsaw puzzles. In earlier times she played golf, and was a club champion both at local clubs and in Eastern Iowa. Cindy enjoyed a large circle of friends in the Anamosa area.
She is survived by a brother, Pat (Mahin Schroeder) Brennaman, Eagan, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Molly (Jason) Noble, Nathan (Julie Cross) Brennaman and Patrick G. Brennaman; and cousins, Julie, Deb, Nancy and Tony.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
