Caves, Nancy Anne
Nancy Anne Caves, 74, of Marion, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her home. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Pastor Blair A'Hearn. Family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Survivors include her children, Candy Schnepf (Chuck Dixon), Cindy Green, Kim (Steve) Proctor and Debby (Mitch) Zumbach; nine grandchildren, Chasity (Mike) Yokers, Amber Schnepf, Ashley Schnepf, Courtney Schnepf, Tiffany Lantz, Tyler Lantz, Melissa (Michael) Chambers, McKenna Kinley and Nathan Zumbach; eight great-grandchildren, Bo, Avery, Destiny, Leyah, Mike, Rylee, Arabella and Peyton; and two sisters, Shirley Haley and Darlene Rhines,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Deliah; and siblings, John, Donald, Iona and Wilma.
Nancy was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Masonville, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel A. and Deliah L. (Spangenberg) Slick. She worked at Rockwell for 10 years, retiring in 1985. Nancy was a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. She was a dog lover and leaves behind her special companion, Buttons.
