Braley, Obama want more taxes, regulation

Regarding Bruce Braley's July 10 guest column, “Simply put, Obama is betting on American workers; Romney isn't”:
First of all, the fact that Braley and the Obama administration are actually patting themselves on the back when it comes to the economy or the job situation in this country is quite comical.
In Braley's column, he states “Iowans deserve better. Obama is working to restore the middle class by investing in education, energy, innovation and infrastructure, reforming the tax code and responsibly paying down our debt. He's got the back of U.S. workers so they can lead our country forward.”
The only truth to that statement is that Iowans deserve better. We do deserve better than what Braley and Obama are offering us. This administration and Braley are not working to “restore” anything. They are simply working to strangle us with regulation and taxes (can you say ObamaCare?).
American exceptionalism is a foreign concept to these men. They don't grasp the concept of government getting out of the way of its citizens and allowing the private sector to create the jobs this nation so desperately needs.
