New doughnut shop opens in Iowa City
For the past two years, Scott Ward has traveled to 80 locations across the Midwest to study the donut shop business -- all in the hope of opening a local, neighborhood-style business near his home.
The hard work and endless hours of planning paid off, as Ward, 42, and his wife,Vicki, 43, opened the doors to their shop, Daylight Donuts, at 3560 E. Court Street in Iowa City on July 22.
