Change of plans: Iowa men to leave Cedar Falls early
Dec. 9, 2009 1:16 pm
Iowa's men's basketball players enjoyed their stay at the Cedar Falls Holiday Inn, but wanted to go home.
So with road conditions improving, they will head back to Iowa City around 7 p.m. tonight.
The Hawkeyes have practice from 1-3 p.m. Thursday.
The players met for about 30 minutes this afternoon to break down the tape from Iowa's 67-50 loss to UNI. Most of the coaches' scouting video of Iowa State remains in Iowa City. Iowa plans to bus to Iowa State on Friday morning.
Iowa's players rode the bus to Cedar Falls on Tuesday for that night's game against Northern Iowa. They checked in at a local hotel and then went to the McLeod Center for a shootaround. The players came back to the hotel, had a team meal and then went to the game. School officials elected to stay in Cedar Falls last night because of the wild winter weather.
