Ingemells, Judith Elizabeth Welsh
Judith Elizabeth Welsh Ingamells, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, after a short illness. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Sonda Kirsteatter officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Duane; daughters, Barbara Ingamells of Shellsburg, and Karen (Charlie) Summerville of Brunswick, Ga; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee; and a brother, David (Delores) Welsh of Bettendorf.
Judith was born March 14, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Clarence and Jeannette Welsh. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Coe College. On June 2, 1979, she married Duane Ingamells. They worked well together and had a strong love for each other. Judith enjoyed cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, counted cross-stitching, traveling and loved all animals, especially dogs.
She worked for Collins Radio, St. Luke's and was the office manager for Dr. Robert Barry for 25 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents and son, Gary Ingamells.
Judith had a strong faith and was a member of Olivet Church, were she was an elder and self-taught church organist for 32 years. She was an excellent pianist and enjoyed all music.
