CEDAR RAPIDS -- Terry Jenkins didn't score a point. But he embodied the vast difference in the game.Jenkins, who stands a modest 6-foot-2, snagged 13 rebounds as Cedar Rapids Washington handled Cedar Rapids Jefferson, 57-36, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday at Washington High School.Washington (5-14 overall, 5-9 MVC) took control of the game with a big second quarter, and had control of the glass all night. The Warriors outrebounded Jefferson (5-14, 3-11) by a 43-19 margin."All my life, I've been a good rebounder," said Jenkins, a former J-Hawk. "I feel I'm a quicker jumper than most people."The Warriors trailed 10-8 after a quarter, then outscored the J-Hawks, 22-7, in the second quarter for a 30-17 halftime advantage. Steven Kramer scored all nine of this points in the period, all from long range.Kramer's back-to-back treys gave Washington the lead for good at 18-14.The Warriors' lead stayed in double digits through the second half.Maurice Arrington led the Warriors with 12 points, all in the second half. Keegan Moore added 10 points and six rebounds.Jacob Olson paced Jefferson with 11 points.Washington cruised despite the fact it didn't shoot a single free throw for the first 24 minutes, 17 seconds.
