Kernels pull one out in extra innings
CLINTON - Zack Larson's RBI double in the 10th inning gave the Cedar Rapids Kernels a 4-3 win over the Clinton LumberKings on Tuesday night at Ashford University Field.
Tanner English was hit by a pitch to start the inning and went to second on a wild pitch. With two on and two out, Larson lashed his winner to left-center field.
Randy LeBlanc (7-3) got the win in relief despite allowing two unearned runs in two innings. Cam Booser pitched the bottom of the 10th for the save.
The teams play against Wednesday night at 6:35.
